Wahler wax elements are crucial for the precise temperature control of oil circuits. As the temperature rises, the wax increases in volume. This moves a piston that opens the cooling circuit. When the temperature drops, the wax returns to its original volume and the cooling circuit closes. The opening temperatures of the wax elements range from 25°C to 90°C.
