Leak detector LD 450 - Efficient leak detection for optimum system performance

The LD 450 leak detector is a powerful tool for identifying leaks in piping systems where pressurized gases are escaping, for example due to leaking screw connections or corrosion. It enables the precise detection of even the smallest compressed air leaks, which are inaudible to the human ear and undetectable due to their size, from a distance of several meters. 

The LD 450 set contains the following components:

• 0601 0204 - LD 450 leak detector for compressed air systems
• 0560 0204 - Robust transport case
• 0554 0106 - Soundproof headphones
• 0554 0104 - Alignment tube with alignment tip
• 0530 0104 - Plug-in power supply unit
• 0554 0009 - Sound funnel

The LD 450 converts the inaudible ultrasound into audible frequencies so that the sounds are clearly audible even in noisy environments - supported by soundproof headphones that are extremely comfortable to wear.

This leak detector is a further development of the proven LD 300 and LD 400 models and offers significantly improved sensor technology and optimized functions for detecting leaks. An integrated laser pointer facilitates the targeted localization of leaks, while a specially designed sound funnel focuses the sound waves more effectively. As a result, the funnel acts like a directional microphone that concentrates ultrasonic waves and thus improves acoustic perception without impairing the use of the laser pointer.

The LD 450 fulfills the requirements of Class I instruments according to the standard "Standard Test Method for leaks using Ultrasonic" (ASTM Int. - E1002-05).
